The P0726 code stands for "Engine Speed Input Circuit Range/Performance." It means the engine computer is receiving an implausible or erratic signal from the Engine Speed Sensor (Crankshaft Position Sensor).

Common Causes: A faulty crankshaft position sensor, loose or corroded electrical connector, or electrical interference from bad wiring.

Quick Fix: Inspect the sensor connector for corrosion, clean the sensor tip if dirty, or replace the crankshaft position sensor if the signal remains erratic.
Note: This can cause stalling, failure to start, or rough running as the computer cannot accurately track engine RPM.
