Method 2: Replace Thermostat

Removal: Locate the thermostat housing where the radiator hose meets the engine. Drain enough coolant to prevent spills, remove the housing, and pull out the old thermostat.

Installation: Replace with a new, OEM-spec thermostat and gasket. Refill the cooling system and bleed out any trapped air to ensure efficient circulation.
Warning: Never open a hot radiator cap; it is pressurized and can cause severe burns. Always use an OEM-spec thermostat to ensure the correct opening temperature for Toyota cooling systems.
