Finding and inspecting blown fuses on a first-generation 2017–2022 GAC GN8 MPV involves checking three primary power distribution locations: the Engine Compartment Fuse Box, the Interior Passenger Compartment Fuse Box, and the Battery Pre-Fuse Block.
Fuse Box Locations

Engine Compartment Fuse Box: Located in the front left corner of the engine bay on the driver's side, adjacent to the battery and washer fluid reservoir. Release the plastic retaining clips on the cover to access high-amp fuses and system relays.

Passenger Compartment Fuse Box: Located under the driver's side dashboard (behind the lower instrument panel trim cover/storage compartment to the left of the steering column).

Battery Pre-Fuse Block: Mounted directly on the positive terminal post of the 12V battery under the hood, housing main high-amp master fuses protecting the alternator, starter motor, power sliding doors, and primary body electrical feeds.

How to Check & Replace a Blown Fuse

Switch off the ignition, turn off all exterior lights and electronic accessories, and firmly set the parking brake.

Locate the designated fuse panel (Engine Bay or Dashboard) and detach the protective plastic cover.

Use the plastic fuse puller clip clamped inside the engine compartment fuse box lid to remove the target fuse.

Inspect the translucent fuse body. If the internal metallic wire strip is melted, cracked, or broken, replace it with a spare fuse of the exact same amperage rating.
