Fiat Punto models manufactured between 2000 and 2011 (covering the Mark 2 / 188 facelift and the Grande Punto / Punto Evo 199 platforms) utilize up to three electrical distribution blocks: the Passenger Compartment Interior Fuse Box, the Main Underhood Fuse Box in the engine compartment, and an optional Luggage Compartment Auxiliary Fuse Box. Standard mini-blade fuses, J-Case cartridge fuses, MAXI links, and system relays protect the vehicle's electrical architecture.
Fuse Box Locations & Access
-
Passenger Compartment Fuse Box (Interior Dashboard):
-
Location: Positioned on the lower left-hand side of the dashboard in the driver-side footwell, situated behind the lower trim panel/coin compartment to the left of the steering column.
-
Access: Turn the retaining screws/fasteners counterclockwise or unclip the trim door to expose the Body Computer Module (BCM) fuse block. A circuit allocation legend decal is printed on the back of the cover.
-
-
Engine Compartment Fuse & Relay Box (Underhood):
-
Location: Located on the left side (driver side on LHD models) of the engine bay, adjacent to the battery housing and coolant reservoir.
-
Access: Release the retaining side latches on the protective plastic lid and lift straight off. A spare fuse holder and plastic fuse extraction tool are housed inside the lid.
-
-
Luggage Compartment / Boot Auxiliary Fuse Panel (If Equipped):
-
Location: Positioned behind the left-side trim access panel in the luggage compartment (boot) on high-trim or Start&Stop-equipped models.
-
Access: Open the rear tailgate, unclip the carpet side panel cover, and lift off the plastic fuse protective cover.
