Fuse block location To prevent damage to the electrical system from short-circuiting or overloading, each circuit is equipped with a fuse. The fuse blocks are located in the passenger compartment and the engine compartment.
Passenger compartment The fuse block in the passenger compartment is located in front of the driver’s seat at the position shown in the illustration. 
Engine compartment In the engine compartment, the fuse block is located as shown in the illustration. While pressing the tab (A or B), pull up the cover. 
Fuse load capacities
This fuse list shows the names of the electrical systems and their fuse capacities. There are spare fuses in the fuse block in the engine compartment. Always replace a blown fuse with one of the same capacity as the original.

The fuse block does not contain spare 7.5 A, 10 A or 15 A fuses. Fuse replacement
- Before replacing a fuse, always turn off the electrical item concerned with the fuse and turn the ignition switch to the “OFF” position or put the operation mode in OFF.
- There is a fuse remover (A) in the engine compartment fuse block.
- Clamp it on the fuse you wish to remove, and pull the fuse straight out from the fuse block.
- Use the fuse location diagrams and the matching tables, to check the fuse that is related to the problem. If the fuse is not blown, something else must be causing the problem. Have the system inspected by your authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer or a repair facility of your choice.
B- The fuse is OK C- Blown fuse- Insert a new fuse of the same capacity securely into the appropriate slot.
CAUTION
- Never use a fuse with a capacity greater than the one listed or any substitute, such as wire, foil etc. This would cause the circuit wiring to heat up and could cause a fire.
- If the replacement fuse blows again after a short time, have the electrical system checked by an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer or a repair facility of your choice to find and correct the cause.
- How to Find the Fuse Box:
- In most Mitsubishi Mirage cars, the fuse box is under the dashboard on the driver’s side. It could also be in the engine bay, but this depends on the type and trim level.
- Find the Fuse:
- Open the fuse box door once you’ve found the fuse box. You can find a picture inside that shows which fuse goes with which electrical part.
- Take out the fuse.
- To do this, use the fuse puller tool inside the fuse box or a pair of needle-nose pliers to grab the fuse you want to change. Pull the fuse right out of its slot.
- Check the Fuse:
- Inside the fuse, look for a broken or melted metal strip. This means the fuse has blown.
- Replace the Fuse:
- If the fuse is blown, use a new fuse with the same amperage value to fix it. Make sure that the new fuse fits firmly into the fuse slot.
- Snap the cover back on the fuse box.
- After replacing the fuse, make sure the cover is tight on the box.
- Test the Electrical Component:
- Make sure the new fuse works by testing the electrical part that goes with it.
- Get Rid of the Old Fuse:
- Get rid of the old fuse the right way. It shouldn’t be used again if it’s been blown.
