FUSES GUIDE
Two types of fuses are used. Type A is used in the fuse boxes in the engine compartment. Type B is used in the passenger compartment fuse box. Type A fuses are provided as spare fuses. They are stored in the passenger compartment fuse box. Type A fuses can be installed in the engine compartment and passenger compartment fuse boxes. 
NOTE: Your vehicle may not be equipped with all fuses listed on the fuse label. 
2020 Nissan Frontier ENGINE COMPARTMENT
WARNING Never use a fuse of a higher or lower amperage rating than that specified on the fuse box cover. This could damage the electrical system or electronic control units or cause a fire. If any electrical equipment does not come on, check for an open fuse.
- Be sure the ignition switch and the headlight switch are OFF.
- Open the engine hood.
- Remove the fuse box cover by pushing the tab and lifting the cover-up.
- Remove the fuse with the fuse puller. The fuse puller is located in the centre of the fuse block in the passenger compartment.
- If the fuse is open A, replace it with a new fuse B.
- If a new fuse also opens, have the eletrical system checked and repaired. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
Fusible links If the electrical equipment does not operate and the fuses are in good condition, check the fusible links. If any of these fusible links are melted, replace them with only Genuine NISSAN parts. 
PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
WARNING Never use a fuse of a higher or lower amperage rating than that specified on the fuse box cover. This could damage the electrical system or electronic control units or cause a fire. If any electrical equipment does not operate, check for an open fuse.
- Be sure the ignition switch and the headlight switch are OFF.
- Pull the fuse box cover to remove it.
- Remove the fuse with the fuse puller.
- If the fuse is open A, replace it with an equivalent good fuse B.
- Reverse step 2 to reinstall the fuse box cover.
- If a new fuse also opens, have the electrical system checked and repaired. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
NOTE: Your vehicle may not be equipped with all fuses listed on the fuse label. 
Extended storage switch
If any electrical equipment does not operate, remove the extended storage switch and check for an open fuse. NOTE: The extended storage switch is used for long-term vehicle storage. Even if the extended storage switch is broken it is not necessary to replace it. Replace only the open fuse in the switch with a new fuse. How to replace the extended storage switch:
- To remove the extended storage switch, be sure the ignition switch is in the OFF or LOCK position.
- Be sure the headlight switch is in the OFF position.
- Remove the fuse box cover.
- Pinch the locking tab A found on each side of the storage switch.
- Pull the storage switch straight out from the fuse box B.
How to Replace a Fuse in the 2020 Nissan Frontier
- Show where the fuse box is:
- Find the switch box in your car or home. Most houses have the fuse box in the basement, garage, utility room, or a similar room. It’s usually under the dashboard or in the engine area of a car.
- Turn off the power:
- If you need to change a fuse in your home, you need to turn off the power to the circuit that has the fuse. This keeps you from getting an electric shock. In cars, make sure the key is not in the ignition.
- Find the Blown Fuse:
- Look in the fuse box to find the fuse that has blown. A fuse that has blown will have a broken wire or look different from the fuses that are still working.
- Be sure to pick the right replacement fuse:

- Carefully put the new fuse in the empty socket, making sure it has the right amperage value. Make sure it’s sitting down correctly and safely.
- Turn the power back on.
- If you turned it off, now is the time to do it again. If you are driving a car, turn the key back on.
- Test the Circuit:
- Make sure the new fuse is working properly by testing the circuit. If the circuit works as it should, you’ve properly replaced the fuse.
- Get Rid of the Blown Fuse:
- Get rid of the blown fuse safely. Some places have specific rules about how to get rid of electrical parts, so make sure you follow any rules that apply.
