Multi-information display (with 7-inch display)

The multi-information display is used to display fuel efficiency relat-ed information and various types of driving-related information. The multi-information display can also be used to change the display settings and other settings.

Display contents
Following information is displayed on the multi-information display.

Driving support system information
Displays recognized signs while the RSA system* is operating.
Displays an image when the following systems are operating and a menu icon

other than is selected
1. LTA (Lane Tracing Assist)
2. Dynamic radar cruise control with full-speed range
Information display area
A variety of information can be dis-played by selecting a menu icon. Additionally, warning or suggestion/ad-vice pop-up displays will be displayed in some situations.

INFORMATION

The multi-information display is displayed when
The power switch is in ON.

When changing driving mode
Background color of the multi-information display is changed following the selected driving mode.

Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is characteristic of liquid crystal displays, and there is no problem continuing to use the display.

Changing the display

The multi-information display is operated using the meter control switches.

Call sending/receiving and history display Linked with the hands-free system, sending or receiving call is dis-played. For details regarding the hands-free system, refer to “MULTI-MEDIA OWNER’S MANUAL”.

WARNING

Caution for use while driving
For safety, avoid operating the meter control switches while driving as much as possible, and do not look continuously at the multi-information display while driving. Stop the vehicle and operate the meter control switches. Failure to do so may cause a steering wheel operation error, resulting in an unexpected accident.

Menu icons
Information related to each icon can be displayed by selecting the icon with the meter control switches. Some of the information may be displayed automatically depending on the situation.

On screens where the screen can be scrolled and the display can be switched, a scroll bar or a round icon that shows the number of registered screens is displayed.

Driving information display
Select to display fuel consumption data in various forms.

Fuel Economy
Following information is displayed.

Current fuel economy
Displays the instantaneous current fuel economy.
Average fuel economy (after start)
Displays the average fuel consumption since hybrid system start.*1
Distance to empty
Displays the driving range with remain-ing fuel.
Average fuel economy
Displayed item (listed below) can be changed on the fuel economy type screen of .

Total (after reset)
Displays the average fuel consump-tion since the display was reset.*1*2
Tank (after refuel)
Displays the average fuel consump-tion since the vehicle was refueled.

If equipped

Use the displayed fuel consumption as a reference only.
This display can be reset by pressing and holding [OK] while it is displayed.

When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the display may not be updated. When refueling, turn the power switch off. If the vehicle is refueled without turning the power switch off, the dis-play may not be updated.

ECO Accelerator Guidance/[Eco Score]
Displays a reference operation range for using the accelerator pedal according to driving conditions, and a score result that evaluates the current driving status.

[Eco Score]
ECO area
Shows that the vehicle is being driven in an Eco-friendly manner.
Power area
Shows that an Eco-friendly driving range is being exceeded (during full power driving etc.).
Current acceleration
Displayed as a green bar when with-in the Eco area. Eco-friendly accelera-tion can be achieved by keeping the ac-celerator pedal operation display within the range indicated by the blue bar.
Reference operation range
A zone is displayed in blue under the Eco area which can be used as a refer-ence operation range for using the ac-celerator pedal according to driving con-ditions such as starting off and cruising.

The ECO Accelerator Guidance display changes according to the driving status, such as when starting off or cruising. It is easier to drive in an Eco-friend- ly manner by driving according to the display showing the accelerator pedal operations and staying within the refer-ence operation range.

[Eco Score]
The driving status for the following 3 situations are evaluated in 5 levels: Smooth start-off acceleration ([Start]), driving without sudden accelera-tion ([Cruise]) and smooth stopping ([Stop]). Each time the vehicle is stopped, a score result is displayed out of a perfect score of 100 points.

How to read the bar display:

After starting off, [Eco Score] display does not start until the vehicle speed exceeds approximately 12 mph (20 km/h). The [Eco Score] is reset each time the vehicle starts off to start a new evaluation. When the hybrid system stops, the current total score result is displayed.*1

Change the speedometer display

The score result is displayed only when [Eco Score] is selected for [Trip Summary].

The ECO Accelerator Guidance/[Eco Score] will not operate in the follow-ing situations:

The Hybrid System Indicator is not operating.
The vehicle is being driven using the dynamic radar cruise control with full-speed range.

The operating conditions of the audio system can be displayed on the multi-information display.

Vehicle information display

AWD system display (AWD models)

Torque distribution display
Displays the drive status of each wheel in 6 steps from 0 to 5.
G-force display*1
Displays the size and direction of the G-force applied to the vehicle via changes to the position of the ball on the display.
Maximum G-force course*1
This item is linked with the G-force dis-play and the course of the past move-ment of the ball is displayed. Press and hold [OK] to reset the record.
Wheel spin display
When a tire is spinning, its icon on the display changes its color and blinks.

The illustration used is intended as an example, and may differ from the image that is actually displayed on the multi-information display.

Enable/Disable the following systems:

PCS (Pre-Collision system)
Intuitive parking assist
BSM (Blind Spot Monitor)
RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert)

Settings display
Vehicle settings and the content displayed on the screen can be changed by using the meter control switches.

● If the function is turned on and off or the volume, etc. is changed on the setting screen, the setting is changed each time [OK] is pressed.
● For functions that allow operation contents, display contents, etc., of function to be selected, the setting screen is displayed by pressing and holding [OK]. When the setting screen is displayed, select the setting or desired value (time, etc.) with [OK].
After changing the settings, press [ ] of the meter control switches to return to the previous screen.

Select to enable/disable the left-hand power sliding door kick sensor.

Select to set the volume of the buzzer which sounds when the left-hand power sliding door system operates.

PBD (Power Back Door)
Select to set up the following items.

  Select to enable/disable the power back door system.

  Select to enable/disable the kick sensor.
- [PBD Opening Adjustment]
  Select the open position when power back door is fully open.
- [Volume]
  Select to set the volume of the buzzer which sounds when the power back door system operates.
[Rear Seat Rem.] (Advanced Rear Seat Reminder) Select to enable/disable the rear seat reminder function.
[TPWS Setting] (Tire Pressure Warning System)

Select to initialize the tire pressure warning system.
[Identifying Each Wheel & Position]
Select to register the ID codes of the tire pressure sensors to the tire pressure warning system. Select to change the tire pressure warning system sensor ID code set. To enable this function, a second set of tire pressure warning system sensor ID codes must be registered by a Toyota dealer. For information regarding changing the registered ID code set, contact your Toyota dealer.

Suspension of the settings display

In the following situations, operation of the settings display will be tem-porarily suspended.
When a warning message appears on the multi-information display
When the vehicle begins to move
Settings for functions not equipped to the vehicle are not displayed.
When a function is turned off, the related settings for that function are not selectable.

WARNING

Cautions during setting up the display
As the hybrid system needs to be operating during setting up the display, ensure that the vehicle is parked in a place with adequate ventilation. In a closed area such as a garage, exhaust gases including harmful carbon monoxide (CO) may collect and enter the vehicle. This may lead to death or a serious health hazard.

NOTICE

During setting up the display
To prevent 12-volt battery discharge, ensure that the hybrid system is operating while setting up the display features.

Warning message display
Select to display warning messages and measures to be taken if a malfunction is detected.

Suggestion function
Displays suggestions to the driver in the following situations. To select a response to a displayed suggestion, use the meter control switches.

Suggestion to turn on the headlights
If the headlight switch is in

other than or, and the vehicle speed is 3 mph (5 km/h) or higher for a certain amount of time when the surroundings are dark, a suggestion message will be displayed.

Suggestion to turn off the headlights
If the headlights are left on for a certain amount of time after the power switch has been turned off, a suggestion message will be displayed. When the headlight switch is in the AUTO position : The message asking if you wish to turn the headlights off is displayed. To turn the headlights off, select [Yes]. If the driver’s door is opened after the power switch is turned off, this suggestion message will not be displayed.
