In the 2022 Honda Civic, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is part of the standard Honda Sensing suite. It uses a wide-angle monocular camera mounted behind the top of the windshield to automatically adjust your speed and maintain a set distance from detected vehicles ahead.
How to Set and Adjust ACC:

Step 1: Press the MAIN or TEL/ACC button on the right spoke of the steering wheel. The green ACC indicator light will illuminate in your instrument cluster.

Step 2: Accelerate to your desired speed (above 20 mph for manual transmission models, or any speed for CVT automatic models), then press the SET/- toggle switch down.

Step 3: Press the Interval button (icon depicting a car with horizontal distance bars) on the right spoke of the steering wheel to select your following gap: Extra Long, Long, Middle, or Short.

Step 4: Push the toggle switch up to RES/+ to increase set speed or down to SET/- to decrease set speed in 1 mph or 5 mph increments.
How to Switch to Standard (Fixed Speed) Cruise Control: If heavy snow or rain impairs the front camera, you can switch from adaptive tracking to conventional cruise control:

Press and hold the Interval button on the steering wheel for 3 seconds. The cluster display will change from the vehicle distance graphic to a standard "Cruise Mode" icon.
