Replacing fuses
Fuses are installed in various locations in your vehicle. The following information only lists fuses that you can change yourself. To have other fuses changed, contact an authorised Audi dealer or authorised Audi Service Facility. The following table does not list fuse locations that are not used. A fuse that has blown will have metal strips that have burned through. The fuses are located in the left footwell under the footrest (left-hand drive vehicles) 1 (Dor behind a cover (right-hand drive vehicles) 2, on the left front side of the cockpit 3, or in the luggage compartment floor 4.
- Switch the ignition and all electrical equipment off.
- Check the table that follows to see which fuse belongs to the affected equipment.
- Remove the screwdriver from the vehicle tool kit
- Remove the appropriate cover.
- Remove the colored plastic bracket from the fuse panel, if present.
- Remove the clamps from the fuse panel cover in the footwell 1 or 2.
- Remove the fuse using the clip.
- Replace the blown fuse only with a fuse that has the same amp rating.
- Reinstall the plastic bracket, if present.
- Install the cover.

How to Replace the Fuse of the 2022 Audi A6
Replacing a fuse in the 2022 Audi A6 is a straightforward process. Here are the steps you can follow to replace a fuse:
Materials:
- The new fuse of the correct amperage.
- Fuse puller or needle-nose pliers.
1. Locate the Fuse Box
- The 2022 Audi A6 typically has multiple fuse boxes located:
- Driver’s Side Dashboard: Accessible by opening the driver’s side door and removing the cover on the side of the dashboard.
- Engine Compartment: Near the battery or along the side of the engine bay.
- Trunk Area: Usually on the left or right side behind a panel.
2. Consult the Fuse Diagram
- Check the fuse box cover or the owner’s manual for a diagram that shows the specific fuse locations and their functions.
- Identify the fuse corresponding to the malfunctioning component.
3. Turn Off the Ignition
- Ensure the vehicle is off, and remove the key (or turn off the ignition if using a push-button start).
4. Remove the Fuse
- Use the fuse puller tool included in the fuse box or a pair of needle-nose pliers.
- Gently pull the fuse straight out.
5. Inspect the Fuse
- Look at the metal strip inside the fuse:
- Intact Strip: The fuse is good.
- Broken or Burnt Strip: The fuse is blown and needs replacement.
6. Replace the Fuse
- Use a new fuse with the same amperage rating as the original.
- The amperage is indicated on the top of the fuse (e.g., 10A, 15A).
- Push the new fuse firmly into the slot.
7. Test the Circuit
- Turn on the ignition and check if the component is functioning correctly.
- If the issue persists, there may be a deeper electrical problem that requires professional diagnosis.
8. Reinstall the Fuse Box Cover
- Ensure the cover is securely in place to protect the fuses from moisture and debris.
Tips:
- Keep spare fuses of various amperage ratings in your car.
- Never replace a fuse with one of a higher amperage rating, as this could cause electrical damage or fire.
