General Information
WARNING!
- When replacing a blown fuse, always use an appropriate replacement fuse with the same amp rating as the original fuse. Never replace a fuse with another fuse of a higher amp rating. Never replace a blown fuse with metal wires or any other material. Do not place a fuse inside a circuit breaker cavity or vice versa. Failure to use proper fuses may result in serious personal injury, fire and/or property damage.
- Before replacing a fuse, make sure that the ignition is off and that all the other services are switched off and/or disengaged.
- If the replaced fuse blows again, contact an authorized dealer.
- If a general protection fuse for safety systems (air bag system, braking system), power unit systems (engine system, transmission system) or steering system blows, contact an authorized dealer.
The fuses protect electrical systems against excessive current.
When a device does not work, you must check the fuse element inside the blade fuse for a break/melt.
Also, please be aware that using power outlets for extended periods with the engine off may result in vehicle battery discharge.

Power Distribution Center/Fuses And Relays
The Front Power Distribution Center is located in the engine compartment. This module contains fuses and relays. Fuse cavity locations are printed on the inside of the power distribution centre cover.
CAUTION!
When installing the power distribution centre cover, it is important to ensure the cover is properly positioned and fully latched. Failure to do so may allow water to get into the power distribution centre and possibly result in an electrical system failure.
The fuse box screw and cover must be removed to gain access to the fuses.
For fuse box access, proceed as follows:
- Turn the locking screw counterclockwise.
- Slowly release the screw.
- Remove the fuse box cover by sliding it upward.
- Reverse the procedure to reinstall.

How to replace the Fuses of the 2024 Dodge Hornet
Replacing the fuses on a 2024 Dodge Hornet involves the following steps:
Materials:
- The new fuse of the correct amperage.
- Fuse puller or needle-nose pliers.
Steps to Replace the Fuses:
- Locate the Fuse Box:
- The 2024 Dodge Hornet has two fuse boxes: one in the engine compartment and one inside the cabin.
- The engine compartment fuse box is typically located near the battery or along the side of the engine bay.
- The interior fuse box is often found under the dashboard on the driver’s side or behind a panel on the side of the dash.
- Access the Fuse Box:
- For the engine compartment fuse box, open the hood and locate the fuse box cover. Unclip or unscrew the cover to access the fuses.
- For the interior fuse box, you may need to remove a panel or cover. This can often be done by hand or with a small screwdriver.
- Identify the Faulty Fuse:
- Refer to the fuse diagram on the fuse box cover to identify the specific fuse you need to check or replace.
- Check the fuse visually. A blown fuse will have a broken or burnt wire inside the fuse.
- Remove the Faulty Fuse:
- Use a fuse puller, which is often provided in the fuse box, or a pair of needle-nose pliers to carefully pull the faulty fuse out of its slot.
- Replace the Fuse:
- Get a new fuse of the same type and rating. The rating is usually marked on the fuse itself and also listed in the fuse box diagram.
- Insert the new fuse into the slot, ensuring it is seated firmly.
- Reassemble:
- After replacing the fuse, replace the fuse box cover and ensure it is secured properly.
- If you accessed the interior fuse box, reattach any panels or covers you removed.
- Test the Circuit:
- Turn on the ignition and check the functionality of the circuit that the fuse is responsible for. Ensure the issue is resolved and the new fuse is working correctly.
Tips:
- Always replace fuses with one of the same amperage to avoid electrical issues.
- Keep spare fuses of various ratings in your vehicle for future emergencies.
- If a fuse blows again shortly after replacement, it may indicate an underlying electrical problem that needs professional attention.
Safety Precautions:
- Always turn off the vehicle and remove the key from the ignition before replacing fuses to prevent any electrical shock or short-circuiting.
- Avoid using metal tools like screwdrivers directly in the fuse box as they can cause a short circuit.
