Fuses
A vehicle’s electrical system is protected from electrical overload damage by fuses. This vehicle has 2 (or 3) fuse panels, one located in the driver’s side panel bolster, and the other in the engine compartment near the battery. If any of your vehicle’s lights, accessories, or controls do not work, check the appropriate circuit fuse. If a fuse has blown, the element inside the fuse will be melted or broken. If the electrical system does not work, first check the driver’s side fuse panel. Before replacing a blown fuse, turn the engine and all switches off, and then disconnect the negative battery cable. Always replace a blown fuse with one of the same rating. If the replacement fuse blows, this indicates an electrical problem. Avoid using the system involved and immediately consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
WARNING
NEVER replace a fuse with anything but another fuse of the same rating.
- A higher capacity fuse could cause damage and possibly cause a fire.
- Do not install a wire or aluminum foil instead of the proper fuse – even as a temporary repair. It may cause extensive wiring damage and possibly a fire.
NOTICE
Do not use a screwdriver or any other metal object to remove fuses because it may cause a short circuit and damage the system.
Instrument Panel Fuse Replacement
- Turn the engine off.
- Turn all other switches OFF.
- Open the fuse panel cover.
- Refer to the label on the inside of the fuse panel cover to locate the suspected fuse location.
- Pull the suspected fuse straight out. Use the removal tool provided in the engine compartment fuse panel.
- Check the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown. Spare fuses are provided in the instrument panel fuse panels (or in the engine compartment fuse panel).
- Push in a new fuse of the same rating, and make sure it fits tightly in the clips. If it fits loosely, consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
In an emergency, if you do not have a spare fuse, use a fuse of the same rating from a circuit you may not need for operating the vehicle. If the headlights or other electrical components do not work and the fuses are undamaged, check the fuse panel in the engine compartment. If a fuse is blown, it must be replaced with the same rating.
Fuse Switch
Always, place the fuse switch in the ON position. If you move the switch to the OFF position, some items such as the audio system and digital clock must be reset and the smart key may not work properly.
Engine Compartment Panel Fuse
Replacement
- Turn the engine off.
- Turn all other switches OFF.
- Remove the fuse panel cover by pressing the tap and pulling up.
- Check the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown. To remove or insert the fuse, use the removal tool in the engine compartment fuse panel.
- Push in a new fuse of the same rating, and make sure it fits tightly in the clips. If it fits loosely, consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
CAUTION
After checking the fuse box in the engine compartment securely close the fuse box cover inside the engine compartment, until it clicks. If the fuse box is not closed properly, water may leak inside, possibly causing a malfunction with the electrical system.

How to replace the Fuse of the 2023 Hyundai Venue
Replacing a fuse in a car like the 2023 Hyundai Venue is a relatively simple task. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Materials:
- The new fuse of the correct amperage.
- Fuse puller or needle-nose pliers.
Instructions:
- Locate the fuse box: In the Hyundai Venue, the fuse box is usually located in one of the following places:
- Underneath the dashboard on the driver’s side.
- In the engine compartment near the battery.
- Identify the blown fuse: Fuses are usually color-coded and labeled with their amperage rating. Use the diagram on the fuse box cover to find the fuse that corresponds to the component that isn’t working.
- Turn off the vehicle: Before you start working on any electrical components, turn off the vehicle’s engine and remove the key from the ignition.
- Remove the blown fuse: Use a fuse puller tool or a pair of needle-nose pliers to grasp the blown fuse and gently pull it straight out of its socket. Be careful not to damage the fuse box or surrounding components.
- Inspect the fuse: Check the metal strip inside the fuse to see if it’s broken or melted. This indicates that the fuse is blown and needs to be replaced.
- Select a replacement fuse: Choose a new fuse with the same amperage rating as the one you removed. Using a fuse with the wrong rating can cause electrical problems or even damage other components.
- Install the new fuse: Insert the new fuse into the empty socket, making sure it’s seated securely. You should feel or hear a click when the fuse is fully inserted.
- Test the component: Once the new fuse is in place, turn the ignition to the accessory position (without starting the engine) and test the component to make sure it’s working properly.
- Replace the fuse box cover: If you removed the fuse box cover to access the fuses, don’t forget to put it back in place securely.
- Dispose of the old fuse: Properly dispose of the old fuse. If it’s blown, it’s no longer safe to use and should be discarded.
Tips:
- Always use a fuse with the correct amperage rating to prevent electrical issues or damage to the vehicle.
- If a fuse blows repeatedly, it may indicate an underlying electrical problem and professional assistance may be needed.
