FUSES
Two types of fuses are used. Type A is used in the fuse boxes in the engine compartment. Type B is used in the passenger compartment fuse box.
Type A fuses are provided as spare fuses. They are stored in the passenger compart-
ment fuse box.
Type A fuses can be installed in the engine compartment and passenger compart-
ment fuse boxes.
If a type A fuse is used to replace a type B fuse, the type A fuse will not be level with the fuse pocket as shown in the illustration. This will not affect the performance of the fuse. Make sure the fuse is installed in the fuse box securely.
Type B fuses cannot be installed in the underhood fuse boxes. Only use type A fuses in the underhood fuse boxes.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT
WARNING
Never use a higher or lower amperage rating fuse than that specified on the fuse box cover. This could damage the electrical system or electronic control units or cause a fire.
If any electrical equipment does not come on, check for an open fuse.
- Be sure the ignition switch and the headlight switch are OFF.
- Open the engine hood.
- Remove the fuse box cover by pushing the tab and lifting the cover-up.
- Remove the fuse with the fuse puller. The fuse puller is located in the centre of the fuse block in the passenger compartment.
- If the fuse is open A, replace it with a new fuse B.
- If a new fuse also opens, have the elec-trical system checked and repaired. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
Fusible links
If the electrical equipment does not operate and the fuses are in good condition, check the fusible links. If any of these fusible links are melted, replace them with only Genuine NISSAN parts.
PASSENGER COMPARTMENT

- Be sure the headlight switch is in the OFF position.
- Remove the fuse box cover.

How to replace a fuse in the 2019 Nissan Frontier?
- Find the fuse box.
- In a Nissan Frontier, the fuse box is usually under the dashboard on the left side of the driver. It could also be in the engine bay.
- Find the Fuse:
- Once you’ve found the fuse box, open the lid to get to the fuses. There should be a picture inside the cover that shows where each fuse is and what it does. This picture will help you find the fuse that needs to be changed.
- Turn Off the Vehicle:
- Before you change the fuse, turn off the engine and any electrical parts that are connected to the fuse.
- Remove the Fuse:
- Carefully take out the blown fuse with a fuse puller tool or a pair of needle-nose pliers. Hold on tight to the fuse and pull it straight out of the socket.
- Insert the New Fuse:
- Put the new fuse into the empty hole. Check to see if it can handle the same amount of current as the old fuse. It needs to be pushed in firmly until it is safely in place.
- Make sure the fuse is tight:
- Make sure the fuse is firmly in place and the contacts are clean.
- Close the Fuse Box Cover:
- After replacing the fuse, make sure the cover of the fuse box is tight.
- Test the Circuit:
- Start the engine and check the electrical part that is connected to the new fuse to make sure it is working right.
- Get Rid of the Old Fuse:
- Get rid of the old fuse the right way. It shouldn’t be used again if it’s been blown.
FAQs
In the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver’s side, look for the fuse that is marked for power windows. If the fuse blows, you should use a new one with the same amperage value.
Take a look at the fuse. The fuse blows if the metal strip inside is broken or melts.
First, look in the fuse box for the fuse that is marked for the dashboard lights. Change the fuse if it’s broken.
