Toyota Maintenance Requirements Guide
To ensure safe and econom-ical driving, day-to-day care and regular maintenance are essential. It is the owner’s responsibility to perform regular checks. Toyota recommends the following maintenance:
Repair and replacement
It is recommended that genuine Toyota parts be used for repairs to ensure the performance of each sys-tem. If non-Toyota parts are used in replacement or if a repair shop other than a Toyota dealer performs repairs, confirm the warranty coverage.
Allow inspection and repairs to be performed by a Toyota dealer
- Toyota technicians are well-trained specialists and are kept up to date with the latest service information. They are well-informed about the operations of all systems on your vehicle.
- Keep a copy of the repair order. It proves that the maintenance that has been performed is under war-ranty coverage. If any problem should arise while your vehicle is under warranty, your Toyota dealer will promptly take care of it.
WARNING
If your vehicle is not properly maintained
Improper maintenance could result in serious damage to the vehicle and possible death or serious injury.

Emission inspection and maintenance (I/M) programs
Some states have vehicle emission inspection programs which include OBD (On Board Diagnostics) checks. The OBD system monitors the operation of the emission control sys-tem.

If the malfunctioning indicator lamp comes on
The OBD system determines that a problem exists somewhere in the emission control system. Your vehicle may not pass the I/M test and may need to be repaired. Contact your Toyota dealer to service the vehicle.
Your vehicle may not pass the I/M test in the following situations:
- When the 12-volt battery is disconnected or discharged Readiness codes that are set during ordinary driving are erased.
Also, depending on your driv-ing habits, the readiness codes may not be completely set. - When the fuel tank cap is loose
The malfunction indicator lamp comes on indicating a temporary malfunction and your vehicle may not pass the I/M test.
When the malfunctioning indicator lamp remains on after several driving trips
The error code in the OBD sys-tem will not be cleared unless the vehicle is driven 40 or more times.
If your vehicle does not pass the I/M test
Contact your Toyota dealer to prepare the vehicle for re-testing.
FAQs
The 2025 Toyota Crown requires regular maintenance every 5,000 miles or six months, whichever comes first. This includes oil changes, tyre rotations, brake inspections, and fluid level checks. Following Toyota’s recommended maintenance schedule helps ensure the longevity and performance of your vehicle.
Toyota recommends using SAE 0W-20 synthetic motor oil for the 2025 Toyota Crown. This oil provides optimal performance and protection for the engine under various driving conditions.
Brake pads on the 2025 Toyota Crown should be inspected at every service interval (5,000 miles or six months) and typically replaced every 30,000 to 70,000 miles, depending on driving habits and conditions. If you hear squeaking or experience reduced braking performance, have them checked immediately.
Rotating the tyres every 5,000 miles to ensure even wear. Check tyre pressure monthly and adjust to the recommended levels. Inspect tyres for tread wear and replace them when they reach 2/32 of an inch.
The engine air filter should be inspected at every 15,000 miles and replaced every 30,000 miles or sooner if driving in dusty or polluted conditions. A clean air filter ensures optimal engine performance and fuel efficiency.
