2015 Alfa Romeo MiTo Fuses and Fuse Box Instructions
To keep and fix problems with your 2015 Alfa Romeo MiTo’s electrical systems, you need to know how the fuses work and where they are located in the fuse box. Fuse boxes are very important for protecting the electronics in your car because they stop the damage from electrical problems and overloads. The fuse box, which is where these fuses are kept, is where these important parts are managed. This complete guide will show you exactly where to find, check, repair, and troubleshoot fuses in your 2015 Alfa Romeo MiTo. This will allow you to make sure the car’s electrical systems work properly and deal with any problems that might come up.
REPLACING FUSES
GENERAL INFORMATION
Fuses protect the electrical system: they intervene (below) in the event of a failure or improper intervention on the system. When a device does not work, check the condition of its protection fuse: the filament A fig. 151 must be intact. If it is not, replace the blown fuse with another with the same amperage (same color).
- B = undamaged fuse.
- C = fuse with damaged filament.
Warning
- Never replace a fuse with metal wires or anything else.
- Contact Alfa Romeo Authorised Services should the fuse blow again.
- Never replace a fuse with another with a higher amp rating; DANGER OF FIRE.
- If a general protection fuse (MAXI-FUSE, MEGA-FUSE, MIDI-FUSE) blows, contact Alfa Romeo Authorised Services.
- Before replacing a fuse, make sure that the ignition key has been removed and that all the other services are switched off and/or disengaged.
- Contact Alfa Romeo Authorised Services if a safety system (airbags, brakes), power unit system (engine, gearbox) or steering system general protection fuse blows.
FUSE LOCATION
Fuses are grouped together in three fuse boxes located in the engine compartment, dashboard, and luggage compartment.
Engine compartment fuse box
This is located next to the battery fig. 153: to access the fuses, undo screws A fig. 152 and remove cover B. The number identifying the electrical component corresponding to each fuse is on the back of the cover. After replacing the fuse, make sure you close cover B on the junction unit.
Caution: If it is necessary to wash the engine compartment, take care not to directly hit the junction unit and the window wiper motors with the water jet.
Dashboard fuse box
To access the fuses fig. 155, lower lid A fig. 154, grip cover B with one hand in the area shown in the figure and remove it in the direction shown by the arrow, in order to release first the inner retainers C and then the tabs D.
Luggage compartment fuse box
To access the fuse box fig. 157 located on the left side of the luggage compartment, open the relevant inspection lid (as illustrated in fig. 156).

FAQ’s
A: The fuse box in the Alfa Romeo MiTo is typically located in the engine compartment or the dashboard, depending on the model.
A: Refer to the owner’s manual for your specific model to find instructions on how to open the fuse box cover. It may involve a latch or fastener.
A: You will need a fuse puller or a pair of needle-nose pliers to safely remove and replace fuses.
A: Visually inspect the fuse to see if the metal wire inside is intact. A blown fuse will have a broken wire.
A: Use fuses of the same amperage rating as the one you are replacing. Check the owner’s manual or the fuse box cover for guidance.
A: No, never use a higher-amp fuse as it can damage the electrical system. Always use the appropriate amperage fuse.
A: Some vehicles may include spare fuses in the fuse box. Check your owner’s manual to see if your model has spares.
A: The fuse box cover or your owner’s manual should have a diagram that indicates the function of each fuse.
A: If you don’t have the cover or diagram, consult your owner’s manual or search online for a fuse box diagram specific to your model.
A: Use a fuse puller or pliers to carefully remove the blown fuse. Then, insert the new fuse of the same amperage into the slot.
A: Always disconnect the battery before working on fuses to prevent electrical shocks or damage. Handle fuses with care.
A: It is recommended to disconnect the battery before replacing fuses to ensure your safety and prevent accidental electrical contact.
A: Repeatedly blown fuses may indicate an underlying electrical issue. It’s best to consult a professional mechanic for diagnosis and repairs.
A: Yes, there may be fuses located inside the car, typically in the dashboard or near the driver’s side door.
A: Fuses should be checked as needed or when an electrical problem arises. Regularly inspect your fuses to ensure they are in good condition.
