2024 Ford Bronco Review, Specs, Price and Mileage (Brochure)

It is highly suggested to sift through the mud in the Ford Bronco as it is one of nature’s most healing substances. Ford’s response to the Jeep Wrangler’s unrivalled dominance for so long is the Bronco. Similar to the Jeep, the Bronco is available with two or four doors, and it can be equipped with four-wheel drive or an optional manual transmission. With a 300-horsepower turbocharged inline-four and a 10-speed automatic transmission (with a seven-speed manual option), even the base Bronco has plenty of power. The V-6 twin-turbo engine in the Wilder has 330 horsepower. With 418 horsepower, the Bronco Raptor—which was assessed separately—is a very different animal. The Bronco has a tough control room that is simple to maintain. The Bronco proves to be an appropriate tool for rock climbing and a pleasant lifestyle vehicle, making it easy to drive on the street between campsites.

Specifications

Engine

A 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower is standard; a 2.7-liter twin-turbo engine with 330 horsepower is optional. Both gas engines are boltable with a 10-speed automatic transmission, but the smaller engine can only be used with a seven-speed manual. Regretfully, neither engine features a lively soundtrack. Power is sent to all four wheels on every Bronco, and the independent front suspension is more advanced than the front stick axle found on a Jeep. 35-inch mud-terrain tires, wheels with Beadlock capability, electronically locked front and rear differentials, and a sway-bar disconnect mechanism are additional notable choices. Following our initial driving impressions, we were impressed by the Bronco’s smoothness on the road. The Ford handles better overall and its steering is more precise than the Wrangler’s wheel. Its body-on-frame structure isn’t a secret, and it has the widest tires and softest suspension, so of course there’s tremendous braking dive. However, the Bronco is not a one-trick pony; it can navigate extremely hazardous terrain.

Fuel & Mpg

The most fuel-efficient version of the Bronco is the four-cylinder model with the automatic transmission, which gets 20 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the interstate. If you choose the Sasquatch package, which comes with aggressive, larger tires, the V-6 version’s fuel efficiency drops to 17 mpg in both the city and the highway. On our 75-mph fuel-economy route, we’ve driven automatic-equipped Broncos with both engines, with the four-cylinder getting 22 mpg and the V-6 getting 18 mpg.

Interior

2024-Ford-Bronco-Review-Specs-Price-and-Mileage-_Brochure-Interior

With two or four doors, softtops or hardtops, and detachable body panels, the Bronco provides the same freedom to be outside that makes the Wrangler an ideal vehicle for outdoor enthusiasts. There are also a few more interior upgrades in the Ford than in the Jeep. For instance, the top of the dashboard of the Bronco features a rack that can be used to mount GoPros and iPhones. It also features easily removable frameless doors. They do, however, let additional wind noise into the cabin and their long side glass can catch the weatherstripping. Nevertheless, there is enough room inside the extended-wheelbase four-door variants to accommodate all four doors. The external mirrors are still functional even after the doors are removed since they are fixed on the base of the windshield. Marine-grade vinyl upholstery and rubberized flooring are available to protect the cabin from the elements. Large expanses of plastic in the cabin appear cheap on higher trim levels, but leather seating surfaces are an option for those who prefer a finer setting. There’s enough room in the rear seat of the two-door Bronco to accommodate two persons in comfort. The only difference between the two-door and four-door models is the third middle seat in the back and somewhat additional legroom; nevertheless, the majority of the extra length is used in the cargo compartment, which is more than 50% larger.

Infotainment and Connectivity

2024-Ford-Bronco-Review-Specs-Price-and-Mileage-_Brochure_Infotainment

In the centre of the Bronco’s dashboard is a 12.0-inch touchscreen that runs Ford’s most recent in-dash Sync 4 software. The configuration enables wireless connectivity to the cloud and the user’s smartphone, and it supports over-the-air upgrades. Several contemporary infotainment features are also supported by the infotainment system, such as a Wi-Fi hotspot that requires a subscription and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Desirable extras like an enhanced B&O sound and integrated navigation are also upgradeable for the unit.

Ford’s answer to the supremacy of the Jeep Wrangler is the 2024 Ford Bronco. It comes with four-wheel drive, two or four doors, and a manual gearbox. A 300-horsepower turbocharged inline-four engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission (or an available seven-speed manual) powers the base model. The Bronco Raptor has 418 horsepower, while the V-6 twin-turbo engine in the Wilder variant has 330 horsepower. The Bronco’s tough yet comfortable interior makes it appropriate for both daily driving and rock climbing. It comes standard with a 2.3-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine; a 2.7-liter twin-turbo is available upon request. Both engines have respectable performance but a dull exhaust note. Advanced independent front suspension and four-wheel drive are standard on all Bronco models.
