Honda Passport 2021

The Honda Passport is a mid-size crossover SUV that was reintroduced by Honda for the 2019 model year. It is positioned between the compact CR-V and the larger Pilot in Honda’s SUV lineup. The following is an introduction to the Honda Passport 2021 model, based on information available up until my knowledge cutoff in September 2021. The Honda Passport 2021 retains the rugged and adventurous styling of its predecessor, offering a bold and athletic appearance. It features a muscular front grille, sculpted body lines, and a raised ride height, giving it a commanding presence on the road. Under the hood, the 2021 Passport is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth and responsive shifts. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available as an option, allowing for better traction and off-road capability. The interior of the Honda Passport is spacious and versatile, with seating for up to five passengers. The rear seats can be folded down to expand the cargo space, offering ample room for luggage, gear, or other items. The Passport also features a variety of storage compartments and cubbies throughout the cabin, providing convenient storage options.

In terms of technology and features, the Honda Passport 2021 comes equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system, which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration for seamless smartphone connectivity. It also offers available features such as a Wi-Fi hotspot, a wireless charging pad, a premium audio system, and a suite of driver-assistance and safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. Overall, the Honda Passport 2021 is designed to cater to drivers who seek a capable and spacious SUV with off-road capability. It combines rugged styling, a powerful V6 engine, and a range of modern features to provide a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience both on and off the road.

Adjusting the Steering Wheel

The steering wheel height and distance from your body can be adjusted so that you can comfortably grip the steering wheel in an appropriate driving posture.

  1. Push the steering wheel adjustment lever down.
    1. The steering wheel adjustment lever is under the steering column.
  2. Move the steering wheel up or down, and in or out.
    1. Make sure you can see the instrument panel gauges and indicators.

    1. After adjusting the position, make sure you have securely locked the steering wheel in place by trying to move it up, down, in, and out.

WARNING
Adjusting the steering wheel position while driving may cause you to lose control of the vehicle and be seriously injured in a crash. Adjust the steering wheel only when the vehicle is stopped.

Interior Rearview Mirror
Adjust the angle of the rearview mirror when you are sitting in the correct driving position.

Rearview Mirror with Day and Night Positions
Flip the tab to switch the position. The night position will help to reduce the glare from headlights behind you when driving after dark.

Automatic Dimming Rearview Mirror and Power Door Mirrors
When you are driving after dark, the automatic dimming rearview mirror and power door mirror reduce the glare from headlights behind you. Press the AUTO button to turn this function on and off. When activated, the AUTO indicator comes on.

Adjusting the Mirrors
Keep the inside and outside mirrors clean and adjusted for the best visibility. Adjust the mirrors before you start driving.

Power Door Mirrors
You can adjust the door mirrors when the power mode is in ON.

  • Mirror position adjustment
    • L/R selector switch: Select the left or right mirror. After adjusting the mirror, return the switch to the center position.
    • Mirror position adjustment switch: Press the switch left, right, up, or down to move the mirror.
  • Folding door mirrors
    • Press the folding button to fold in and out the door mirrors.

Reverse Tilt Door Mirror
If activated, either side door mirror automatically tilts downward when you put the transmission into (R; this improves close-in visibility on the selected side of the vehicle when backing up. The mirror automatically returns to its original position when you take the transmission out of (R. To activate this feature, set the power mode to ON, and slide the selector switch to the left or right side.

Front Seats
Adjust the driver’s seat as far back as possible while allowing you to maintain full control of the vehicle. You should be able to sit upright, well back in the seat, and be able to adequately press the pedals without leaning forward, and grip the steering wheel comfortably. The passenger seat should be adjusted in a similar manner so that it is as far back from the front airbag in the dashboard as possible.

WARNING
Sitting too close to a front airbag can result in serious injury or death if the front airbags inflate. Always sit as far back from the front airbags as possible while maintaining control of the vehicle. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Transport Canada recommend that drivers allow at least 10 inches (25 cm) between the center of the steering wheel and the chest. Always make seat adjustments before driving.

Lumbar Support Adjustment Switch

  • Press the front: To increase the entire lumbar support.
  • Press the rear: To decrease the entire lumbar support.

Adjusting the Seat-Backs
Adjust the driver’s seat back to a comfortable, upright position, leaving ample space between your chest and the airbag cover in the center of the steering wheel. The front seat passenger should also adjust their seat-back to a comfortable, upright position. Reclining a seat-back so that the shoulder part of the belt no longer rests against the occupant’s chest reduces the protective capability of the belt. It also increases the chance of sliding under the belt in a crash and being seriously injured. The farther a seat-back is reclined, the greater the risk of injury.

WARNING
Reclining the seat-back too far can result in serious injury or death in a crash. Adjust the seat-back to an upright position, and sit well back in the seat. Do not put a cushion, or another object, between the seat-back and your back. Doing so may interfere with the proper seat belt or airbag operation. If you cannot get far enough away from the steering wheel and still reach the controls, we recommend that you investigate whether some type of adaptive equipment may help.

Folding Down the Rear Seat
Separately fold down the left and right halves of the rear seat to make room for cargo.

  1. Store the center seat belt first. Insert the latch plate into the slot on the side of the anchor buckle.
  2. Retract the seat belt into the holder on the ceiling.
  3. Seat Belt with Detachable Anchor P. 42
  4. Lower the center head restraint to its lowest position. Put the armrest back into the seat.
  5. Pull up on the seat-back angle adjustment lever. To return the seat to the original position, pull up the seat back in the upright position.
