BYD Fuse Guide
All electric circuits on the vehicle are provided with fuses to prevent causing short circuits or over-load operation. These fuses are separately installed in the front compartment distribution box and the instrument panel distribution box. The front compartment distribution box and the instrument panel distribution box are provided with fuse labels. Through the fuse labels, the corresponding relationship between fuse and electric component can be determined.
- The fuses under the front compartment hatch is located behind the left side of front compartment. If you want to open this box, remove the front compartment hatch at first, then just press the lock latch as shown in the figure.
- The dashboard fuse box under the driver’s seat in the vehicle is located on the left side of the dashboard. The fuse can be checked and repaired after the lower body of dashboard is removed.
- Replacing a blown fuse with the one having a higher amperage value will greatly increase the possibility of damaging the electrical system.
- If you do not have a fuse whose amperage value matches with the circuit, just replace the blown fuse with the one having a lower amperage value.
Warm tip
- Never use fuses with amperage ratings above the specified value or any other object instead. Otherwise, serious damage will be caused, possibly resulting in a fire.
- After the fuse is blown, it is recommended to drive the vehicle to a BYD authorized service provider for inspection or replacement.
