2019 Kicks FUSES
If any electrical equipment does not operate, check for an open fuse. Fuses are used in the passenger compartment and engine compartment. Spare fuses are provided and can be found in the passenger compartment fuse box. When installing a fuse make sure the fuse is installed in the fuse box securely.
NOTE: Your vehicle may not be equipped with all fuses listed on the fuse label. 
- Be sure the ignition switch and the headlight switch are OFF.
- Open the engine hood.
- Remove the fuse box cover by pushing the tab and lifting the cover-up.
- Remove the fuse with the fuse puller. The fuse puller is located in the centre of the fuse block in the passenger compartment.
- If the fuse is open A, replace it with a new fuse B.
- If a new fuse also opens, have the elec-trical system checked and repaired. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
Fusible links If any electrical equipment does not oper-ate and the fuses are in good condition, check the fusible links in the holder. If any of the fusible links are melted, replace only with Genuine NISSAN parts. For checking and replacing the fusible links, it is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service. 
PASSENGER COMPARTMENT CAUTION Never use a fuse of a higher or lower amperage rating than that specified on the fuse box cover. This could damage the electrical system or electronic control units or cause a fire. If any electrical equipment does not operate, check for an open fuse.
NOTE: The fuse box is located on the driver’s side of the instrument panel.
- Be sure the ignition switch and the headlight switch are OFF.
- Remove the fuse box cover A with a suitable tool. Use a cloth to avoid damaging the trim.
- Locate the fuse that needs to be replaced.
- Remove the fuse with the fuse puller B.
- If the fuse is open C, replace it with an equivalent good fuse D.
- Push the fuse box cover to install.
If a new fuse also opens, have the electrical system checked and repaired. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service. NOTE: Your vehicle may not be equipped with all fuses listed on the fuse label.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
CAUTION Be careful not to allow children to swallow the battery or remove parts.
- An improperly disposed battery can harm the environment. Always con-firm local regulations for battery disposal.
- When changing batteries, do not let dust or oil get on the components.
- There is a danger of explosion if the lithium battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- Locate the Fuse Box:
- The fuse box in the Nissan Kicks is usually located under the dashboard on the driver’s side. It might also be located in the engine compartment.
- Identify the Correct Fuse:
- Use the fuse box cover to locate the fuse that needs to be replaced. The cover will have a diagram indicating which fuse corresponds to which electrical component.
- Turn Off the Ignition:
- Before replacing the fuse, turn off the ignition and any electrical components powered by the fuse you’re replacing.
- Remove the Fuse:
- Using a fuse puller tool or a pair of needle-nose pliers, carefully pull out the fuse that needs to be replaced. Be gentle to avoid damaging the fuse or the fuse box.
- Inspect the Fuse:
- Check the fuse for any signs of damage, such as a broken filament or discolouration. If the fuse appears to be blown, it will need to be replaced.
- Replace the Fuse:
- Insert a new fuse of the same amperage rating into the slot where the old fuse was removed. Make sure it is inserted securely.
- Test the Electrical Component:
- Turn the ignition back on and test the electrical component to ensure that it is functioning properly.
- Replace the Fuse Box Cover:
- Once you have confirmed that the replacement fuse is working correctly, replace the fuse box cover and secure it in place.
- Dispose of the Old Fuse:
- Properly dispose of the old fuse.
