When replacing light bulbs
Toyota recommends that you use genuine Toyota products designed for this vehicle. Because certain bulbs are con-nected to circuits designed to pre-vent overload, non-genuine parts or parts not designed for this vehicle may be unusable.
WARNING
To prevent system break-downs and vehicle fire
Observe the following precau-tions. Failure to do so may cause dam-age to the vehicle, and possibly a fire or injury.
- Never use a fuse of a higher amperage rating than that indi-cated, or use any other object in place of a fuse.
- Always use a genuine Toyota fuse or equivalent. Never replace a fuse with a wire, even as a temporary fix.
- Do not modify the fuses or fuse boxes.
NOTICE
Before replacing fuses
Have the cause of electrical over-load determined and repaired by your Toyota dealer as soon as possible.
How to replace the Fuses of the 2025 Toyota Corolla
Replacing the fuses on a 2025 Toyota Corolla is a relatively straightforward process. Here are the general steps you can follow:
Materials:
- The new fuse of the correct amperage.
- Fuse puller or needle-nose pliers.
Steps to Replace the Fuses:
-
Locate the Fuse Box:
- The 2025 Toyota Corolla has two fuse boxes: one inside the cabin and another in the engine compartment.
- Cabin Fuse Box: Located under the dashboard on the driver’s side, behind the panel near the lower part of the dashboard.
- Engine Compartment Fuse Box: Located near the battery or along the side of the engine bay.
-
Turn Off the Engine: Before you begin, ensure the car is turned off, and the ignition is in the OFF position.
-
Open the Fuse Box:
- Use the fuse box cover latch or tabs to open the fuse box. If you’re working with the cabin fuse box, you may need to remove a panel to access it.
-
Identify the Faulty Fuse:
- Use the fuse diagram found on the cover of the fuse box to identify the specific fuse that is blown or malfunctioning.
- Check the fuses visually for any broken filaments or dark discoloration. If the fuse is damaged, it needs to be replaced.
-
Remove the Faulty Fuse:
- Use a fuse puller (usually provided inside the fuse box) or a pair of needle-nose pliers to carefully pull out the faulty fuse.
- If you don’t have a fuse puller, a pair of tweezers or pliers can also work, but be gentle to avoid damaging other fuses or the fuse box.
-
Replace with a New Fuse:
- Ensure the new fuse is of the same rating (amperage) as the old one. It’s important to use the exact type and size of fuse to prevent any electrical damage.
- Insert the new fuse into the same slot where the old one was removed, ensuring it’s seated properly.
-
Test the Circuit:
- Once the fuse is replaced, turn on the vehicle and check if the corresponding system is working properly.
-
Close the Fuse Box:
- After confirming the fuse replacement is successful, close the fuse box cover securely.
